Darkbin Terms of Service
Darkbin is an internet service that provides its users with the ability to publish information without the fear of censorship. We do not remove content unless it violates an established policy.
This page sets forth the superseding Terms of Service for Darkbin and includes general information. By accessing or using Darkbin, you agree to the terms outlined on this page. If you do not agree, do not use this website. Your use of this service is completely voluntary.
Law Enforcement Policy
Law enforcement officers with authority may contact us by email legal@darkbin.com. If you are a law enforcement officer and are contacting us with the intention of having content removed, we can voluntarily remove content upon request in accordance with our Terms of Service and applicable law.
Please note that requests for user information will not be honoured voluntarily. You may, however, request that we remove specific user content.
We ask law enforcement officers to provide the following in requests:
- The name of your law enforcement authority, including country/state/province
- Proof of authority (badge, agency contact, etc.)
- A government email address
- A written request in English
- Identifiers (username, URL, post ID, etc.)
- Whether the request can be disclosed to the user
- Whether content may expose legal liability if not removed
For urgent requests, include “URGENT REQUEST” in the subject line.
Unlawful Content and Liability Policy
Users are solely responsible for determining whether accessing, viewing, posting, or interacting with Darkbin is lawful in their jurisdiction. Sharing personal information is not a crime in our jurisdiction; however, certain conduct such as stalking, inciting fear of serious bodily injury, or exploitation of minors is strictly prohibited.
Content that violates governing law is strictly prohibited and will be removed once we become aware of it. We may also remove content voluntarily to avoid legal liability.
We are not responsible for user actions. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Darkbin and its staff shall not be liable for indirect or consequential damages.
Harassment & Illegal Activity
Darkbin does not promote harassment, swatting, violence, or illegal activity. Any content encouraging harm or unlawful actions will be removed and may result in a ban.
Defamation Policy
Users are responsible for content they post. We may remove defamatory content if sufficient evidence is provided.
Truthful statements are not considered defamation. The burden of proof lies with the content author.
Discretionary Policy
Staff may remove content at their discretion if it is considered spam, abusive, unethical, or harmful.
Removing Content
Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)
Darkbin strictly prohibits CSAM. Any detected or reported CSAM will be removed immediately. Reports should be sent to abuse@darkbin.space with “CSAM” in the subject line.
Non-Consensual Intimate Content
We prohibit non-consensual explicit content of adults. Report to abuse@darkbin.space
Unlawful Content
Unlawful content may include harassment, illegal material, or court-ordered removals. Please provide legal references when reporting.
Civil Claims
Users seeking legal remedy must pursue action against the content author. Court orders will be honored.
